As part of the Government’s New Zealand Upgrade Programme KiwiRail is upgrading the North Island Main Trunk Line from Wiri to Quay Park. The upgrades include improvements to key junctions at Wiri, Westfield and Quay Park, and an additional track along the route between Middlemore and Wiri. These improvements will improve freight movements in Auckland, and help reduce conflict with passenger services, allowing for more efficient operating for both freight and the ever-growing Auckland passenger network.

Novare Design is excited to be involved in many aspects of the project relating to structural design including: Foundation Design, Impact Protection Structures, Bridge Screen Design, Structural Assessment.
