Novare Design in Joint Venture with Monk Mackenzie have developed a design for a Pedestrian Bridge connecting the 133-feet tall statue of Thiruvalluvar. and the Vivekananda Rock Memorial to the mainland of India.

The first bridge is 400 metres long with 20 spans of 20 metres each and the following bridge is approximately 100 metres long with 5 spans of 20 metres each. The sweep of the bridge from the mainland to the two islands is curved to allow for views of the statue and temple along the bridge. The bridge embodies a poetic approach to its destinations that is singular, sinuous, and curvaceous.
